I found my great great grandfather on your genealogy charts --FranklinPierce West. Frank West and Sam Starr (husband of Belle Starr) shotand killed each other at Oklahoma, IT (now Whitefield, OK.). I'massuming we have some common ancestory although I haven't looked at mypedigree charts to determine exactly what it is. I am a decendant ofNancy Ward, Ludovic Grant, and Major Downing. One correction -- FrankWest was not born in the Cherokee Nation East. He was born in IndianTerritory. The Wests were Treaty Party members that moved west beforethe Trail of Tears and were related to and friends of the Starrs.Frank West's wife was the sister of the Brewers that were officers inStand
Watie's Confederate Brigade.
