Clinton Amsden, an old man who lived with his niece, Mrs. RobertBeecher, was found dead Sunday morning. Deceased was a farmer, andfor many years did a prosperous business in picking up eggs for theWorcester Market. He was a brother of Edwin Amsden of this town, anduncle of F.J. Haven of Barre. [542] Burton worked as a pharmacist at night, while attending the Coloradoschool of Mines in Golden, Colorado. He received his mining degree in1925. He and Betty travelled the world with his mining engineeringjobs, but eventually settled in San Jose, California. He reactivatedhis pharmacy license and returned to pharmacy work until hisretirement about 1973.
