Data from McLeester. Birth year from Boese through Dearborn Co., IN1850 Census. There is another person in this household, MatthewHudson, farmer born about 1831 in IN. Data from Olson includes exactbirthdate and place, death information and marriage year. The Olsonpublication states there were 8 children but they are not named. Ispeculate that Matthew Hudson has been mistaken as a child of thefamily.
Chefalo sent me a copy of the 1840 Census. I am not sure this is thesame Benjamin as he would have been 40 in the 1840 census and otherchildren would have been in the household at that time.

A history of the township would be imperfect without a reference toBEN TIBBETTS, who, when the writer first knew him, was one of the mostactive, thorough-going, dashing business men in the county. He couldhaul more hay and load a boat quicker, go to New Orleans, and backagain, sooner than anyone else. His very presence, with his usualfire and life, like a galvanic battery that emits electricity at theslightest touch, gave activity and new life to all around him. Atheart Ben Tibbetts was an honest man, of generous impulses, and whilehe may have wronged himself he
never intentionally wronged a neighbor.

All data from Olson. He removed from Dover Neck, NH to Rochester about1731 and settled on the Salmon Falls road, where he resided for manyyears during the last years of which he was trying to make hissettlement at Lebanon, ME but the Indian warfare greatly retarded thesettlement. On Mar 6 1743/4 he purchased from James Guppy of Berwickan interest of three days a month in a saw-mill on the northeast sideof Salmon Falls river at a place called the Lower Stair Falls inBerwick. After the year 1750 he and his family without doubt residedcontinuously in Lebanon. About 1754 he built a large garrison housewhich was his dwelling house in which he lived until the end of hislife. He was in command of the the garrison during the Indian war atSaco in 1755, as shown by Provincial war records (Mass. Archives, 962A), giving "A Muster Roll of the Twelve of his Majesty's Serviceunder the Command of Benjamin Tibbets".
The order of the births of the children is uncertain. William's is theonly exact date given.
