Mary Rawlins appears in genealogy work done when my cousin Georgemarried into the Mormon faith. This record shows Mary was b. 1613,pr. Dover ( Neck), NH. The Canney record does NOT confirm this, andinstead shows his wife as Mary Loome. Is it possible that she was awidow? (Mary (Loome) Rawlins, or Mary (Rawlins) Loome ??. The TibbettsGenealogy by MTJ does not identify the first wife of Thomas Canney,and notes that he had a second, Jane ----.
Since the Rawlins(Rollins) did inhabit the area, and in fact therecord shows several inter-marriages. Mary Tibbetts, daughter ofJeremey and Mary (Canney) Tibbets, m. Ichabod Rawlins 1674; MaryTibbets Perkins, daughter of Hannah and Nathaniel Perkins, m.Ichabod Rawlins, 1704. I have no way of verifying the information inthe work done as a result of George's marriage. This was done priorto 1960, and my Aunt Lois was given a copy. Her daughters. Lorene andMary Lee, are also
interested in the family, and we work together.
