[717] Hoyt's Issue 1985 has birth date as 12-19-1751. This same publicationlists 12 children, 5 sons and 7 daughters. All are named except onedaughter. HHH has listed a total of 9 children including Walter withno number and 3 daughters with no names but with spouses. From theHoyt publication I have assigned names and birth dates to the 3unnamed daughters but do not know if the spouses and wives match thisway. Walter has been assigned a provisional number since he ismentioned in HHH.

[595] Link with Williams.

From HHH - He owned and occupied the "Old Indian House", at Deerfield.This house was occupied by a family named Sheldon when the town wasdestroyed in 1704 (by the French and Indians), but came into thepossession of the Hoyt family about 1742. It was taken down in 1848;but the old door, battered and cut by the Indians' tomahawks, is stillpreserved. David was known as "Landlord Hoyt", from his keeping atavern in D. (Deerfield).

Note from McLeester - As David's first wife was Mercy Sheldon, Iwonder if the Sheldon's who owned the "Old Indian House" were herancestors?
