According to Rev. Judge A.J. Cotton, of Dearborn County in COTTON'SKEEPSAKE, published for the author by Applegate & Co., 1858:
[Soon after the traumatic death of her husband Henry], His faithfulAlmira, (Elmira and Emma in various publications of early marriagerecords of Dearborn County; "Emira" in her father Rev. DanielPlummer's will) soon after found repose beside him in "the house ofdeath." And Mrs. Harding (Lucy Smith Plummer Harding) sung a sweetand pensive lay at the death of her fond sister, as she did uponanother similar occasion -- the death of her dear sister Jane, of whommention has already been made.
Emira Plummer Heustis died when her son Edwin was 11 years old,according to Edwin's obituary, or in about 1842.

According to Terrence J. McNally, Tmcnally18@athome.com: Thus far, nobirth or christening record has been found. The first record is ofher marriage of 19 Apr 1837 to Josiah R. Hunt on file at the DearbornCounty Courthouse. She was 17 at the time. The minister was Rev.Daniel Plummer, brother of Joseph & Luther Plummer. The 1820 U.S.census shows four male Plummers in Dearborn County: the three named +Henry Plummer . (He then goes through the process of eliminatingJoseph & Daniel).
