[366] Parkhurst was an inn keeper in Niagara Falls. His will shows that heowned a great deal of property. He was also a surveyor and did manyroad surveys in the area of Cambria, NY. and city planning .

Parkhurst's will mentions three grandchildren, Olympia M., Helen E.,and Celinda Alice Kowalewski. There is no mention of a Kowalewski sonin-law, so either his daughter Celinda Elizabeth was married prior toher union with James Trott, or another daughter existed . Parkhurstleft these three grandchildren considerably more property and moneythan he did his son's children, so it might be assumed that they werewithout one or both parents.
